Michael Lee, after serving his apprenticeship, started his own sail making business at eighteen. Thirty years on, with the art of sail making having changed enormously through the types of fabrics and hardware that have been developed, as well as the kinds of vessels now commonly sailed, he has earned a reputation for producing quality crafted sails.
